That is why we participate in the STEP program, which is administered by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). The Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) program was developed and written by contractors, for contractors. It gives us insight from a broad range of industry sources, educating us on safety issues beyond those we have faced. With this heightened awareness, we can identify issues and avoid them. While the safety and wellbeing of our workers is always our primary concern, the benefits of a safe jobsite extend to our customers. Construction companies that participate in STEP are 150% safer than the national average tracked by BLS (Bureau of Labour Statistics). Hiring a company with a dedication to safety will reduce delays, lower costs and almost always produce a higher quality project in the end.
